Mr. Philip R. Kidd, 42. Kansas City, Missouri passed away Wednesday, July 4th at home. A celebration of Philip's life will be 10:00 a.m. Monday July 9th at D.W. Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 North Antioch Road. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. A gathering of Philip's family and friends will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. Philip was born in Kansas City, Missouri and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Oak Park High School in 1983. He had worked for Jay Wolfe Honda for the past 16 years and was currently the service manager. Philip was preceded in death by his father, Roger Kidd and a brother, Brian Eugene Kidd. Philip is survived by his children, Jordan Leigh Kidd and Brandon Roger Kidd both of Kansas City. His mother, Mary Jane Hurshey, Gladstone, sisters: Anita J. Rhoad, Trimble, Missouri, Julia Ann Griffey, Kansas City, MO, Angela Jeanne Kidd, Overland Park, KS; the mother of his children, Carmen L. Kidd and many other relatives and friends. Philip was a wonderful father and was considered by many to be the "Worlds Best Dad". He loved playing baseball and watching his children's sports activities. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
